Kawamata Seafood: Reviews & Ratings

We went there because we were told it was the best poke bowl on town and it was absolutely true. I ordered an ahi tuna salmon original with cilantro, furikake seeds and corn and it was incredibly fresh and tasty. My husband ordered one with a lot of mayo and he said it was very good, but mine was better. Definetly recommended. The parking can get tricky but there are parking spots on the side roads. It is a very small place and you order your food either to go or you can sit outside.

We loved original sauce with tuna and octopus. Spicy mayo was good but shoyu was too salty. Hawaiian drinks were also good. Staff were friendly.

Came here for lunch. There is limited parking right outside or street parking. You place your order at the counter, and you can sit outside at one of the tables. The line was short, and we got our food quickly. I ordered the regular size with cabbage as the base and the tuna, salmon, and octopus as the protein. I got the avocado and imitation crab as toppings (all the toppings are an additional price). I chose the original flavor, which had some chili sauce, so it was slightly spicy. The fish came as huge chunks, so that was a plus. The salmon was my favorite. The tuna was pretty good, but the octopus was kind of tough. I don’t think it’s the freshest fish I’ve ever had, but it was still solid. It would be nice to have some complimentary toppings, but I enjoyed the avocado and the imitation crab (there was a good amount).

Me and my fiance try this spot out on Saturday all the food tasted great. The fish quality was very good very fresh. Shrimp tempura was delicious to . Musubi was very delicious as well good balance between spam, rice and egg. The only downside on this place is that it is a bit pricey and you have to pay for every topping you want.

It's a tiny poke shop serving fresh Hawaiian-style poke. There's limited parking space available and a line waiting outside. There are no seats indoor but there are three tables outside, so I'd suggest it's better to order to go. I ordered the regular size original sauce tuna salmon and octopus. The sauce isn't flavored enough so I would recommend the other source. The fish is fresh though. The portion for a regular size is not too big, enough for ladies but probably not for guys.

Fish is fresh, small size is …small, large size fits me better. Could be long line on weekends, mostly because it’s kinda hard for new comers to order. Tastes are good, worth a try.

This has got to be some of the best poke in SoCal! Their fish is super fresh and the sauce doesn't mute the flavors of the fish. Everything is added carefully and you can choose any topping you want to add in making the meal very filling if you get a large! I left their ahi, salmon, octopus combo. It was so good!

Walk up to door & order. 3 poke - tuna, salmon or octopus. Poke comes with rice, onions, & chopped cucumbers. Toppings extra (seaweed salad, avocado, garlic chips, etc). Rice cooked perfectly. Fishes were fresh & portions more than adequate. However I wish they would marinate the fishes in the sauces longer. They have 4 sauces: original, spicy mayo, soy, wasabi. The tempura shrimps were very good. However I wish they kept the sauce separately. Limited outdoor seating & limited parking. Expect a long line, but it moves quickly. They have a good thing going. 2 thumbs up.
